Since coming to EF Academy I have decided to try new things. Back home i didn’t really do anything, except for dancing, and that was only for a couple of hours two days a week. So when I got here I decided that I should try some more extracurricular activities. And i did.
I joined swimming, yoga, MUN, student council, yearbook committee, art for change (human rights club), history film club, started volunteering, did charity work, went to plays, did trips.
This was not like anything I had done before and it was amazing. After trying different things I am now doing MUN, student council, yearbook committee, art for change (human rights club) and history film club. I volunteered at a home for the elderly for the first term, but i had to cut down the stuff i did as it became a bit too much. I still go on trips and go to plays when I can. And if the opportunity arises, I will join a small project for charity.
I found that having a lot of fun stuff to do helped with my overall self-growth. Everything gives its own unique experience. I am really happy I have the opportunity to do all of this. It is also GREAT for CAS. I have to admit that doing these activities sometimes can kill your spare time, especially when we have assessment weeks coming up or important deadlines, but most of the time it is totally worth it.
